Space Force Begins Accepting Applicants from Air Force Reserve

General Saltzman calls it “an important step toward fully integrating critical space expertise.“

Space Force announced that the service will accept transfer applications from Air Force reservists looking to become full-time guardians. Many Air Force officers already have space-related experience because of the cross-over between the services’ missions. Space Force anticipates that this strong interoperability will allow them to quickly develop their ranks by tapping into this pool of eligible officers.

“This is an important first step toward fully integrating critical space expertise from the Reserve into our force,” Chief of Space Operations General Chance Saltzman stated. “We’ve been serving side-by-side together, supporting the same mission, for longer than the Space Force has existed.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For General Saltzman to be led by the Lord as he oversees Space Force operations.
  • For discernment for Secretary Austin and U.S. military leaders as they assess the need to defend the nation’s interests in space.
